Rising from the undercurrents of the UK’s alternative scene, Tom Saint is crashing through the walls of genre with a new announcement that demands attention. Today, he announces new EP SAINT to be released on 8th October. Alongside this announcement he releases new single ‘S.E.X’ of which he worked closely with alt-heavy weight, Kid Brunswick.

Born in Southampton and now rooted in London’s sonic chaos, Tom Saint grew up bouncing between hardcore pits and hip hop beats before discovering synths and sweat-drenched raves. That duality bleeds into everything he creates. His work documents the dark corners of the human experience- loss, sex, betrayal- and flips them into battle cries for empowerment and emotional resilience. Already named Featured Artist of the Week on Kerrang! Radio’s New Blood, spotlighted by BBC Radio 1, and featured on Spotify’s Misfits 2.0 playlist, Tom is rapidly becoming a go-to voice for those who live life loud.

A post-punk, synth heavy, vampire joy ride dripping in sexual energy, new single ‘S.E.X.' is a salute to Tom Saint’s favourite English goth rock artists. Originally a heavily distorted electronic hip-hop track before being reworked by himself and Kid Brunswick, ‘S.E.X’ signalled the departure of his emo rap roots and picking up the guitar. Written last year in his new studio in South London, the track was a huge turning point for him as an artist- experimenting with new styles and carving a new sound. Mixed by Oliver Wright (Dream Wife, Hot Chip), this acts as another example of the highly anticipated upcoming EP SAINT.

Speaking of SAINT, he says, “This EP plays as a narrative, each song charting my journey from the depths of depression with each track exploring the emotions felt on this journey. The EP is the sound of me shedding my skin as an emo rapper and speaking from a place of real truth. SAINT is a musical art piece that charts and finally celebrates my own realisation that I am the master of my own fate.”

Tom Saint also previously broke ground as part of alternative supergroup TRASH FAINT, alongside CRASHFACE and DEAR TASH, releasing ‘INSIDE OUT’. But now, Tom Saint is fully stepping into his own spotlight.
