Fresh from a pretty hectic tour around Europe Low Island return to England and a gig at The Boiler Room for the venues 16th Birthday celebrations. From the first note the band effortlessly reproduce the silky sound and vibe of their last album "If you could have it all again". Playing most of the tracks as you would expect and teasing the crowd with a few from the upcoming release "Life in Miniature". The sound of Low Island can stretch across genres and economically utilizes a less is more approach to many of their songs, allowing Carlos Posada to overlay his amazingly adaptable vocals. Stand out song for me is "In Your Arms" which again with softly stroked guitar creeps up to the hook of the chorus. Creating such highs and extra highs within their songs takes ability and songcraft which this band have in spades.
