The UK’s favourite immersive country festival is BACK and better than ever, arriving for its seventh year on the August 2026 Bank Holiday weekend (27th - 30th). 

The wait is almost over… so saddle up, as there’s only 2 months to go until The Long Road Festival returns to the stunning grounds of Stanford Hall in Leicestershire, for an unforgettable weekend of music, community and adventure.

This year’s event will feature a stellar collection of genre legends, chart-toppers and rising stars, welcoming headliners including multi-platinum artist Bailey Zimmerman, 14-time GRAMMY winner Emmylou Harris, globally renowned country-pop favourite Maren Morris, Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame member Steve Earle, and CMA award winners The Shires.

New additions to the lineup include Irish blues artist Muireann Bradley, British folk duo Ferris & Sylvester, Californian country force Sheyna Gee, soulful storyteller Jordan O'Keefe, Northern singer-songwriter Bec O'Malley, pop-rock standout Gina Larner, multi-instrumentalist William Matheny, harmony driven country duo Smithfield, honky-tonk quintessential artist Brennen Leigh, americana frontrunner Bobby Dove, London based double act Sweet Thieves, and finally, alternative folk-noir outfit Locks completing the lineup. 

The festival will bring back the acclaimed Homegrown Talent Contest for its second year, to showcase the current crop of new, exciting artists. Last year’s winner Liam Price will be triumphantly returning to the event as a performer on the mainstage, after a whirlwind year following his win. Hosted by Janet Devlin, the competition will take place on Sunday at The Hitching Post, where finalists will perform live to a panel of expert judges including Baylen Leonard (Creative director of The Long Road), Mark Hagen (Producer at Radio 2), Hannah Spark (Agent at WME) and Sara Pearce (Publicist at Lime Tree Music). To apply, head to the homepage - applications open on Thursday 2nd July, and will close at 11:59pm on 19th July. Successful applicants will be contacted during the week commencing 27th July. The winner will receive a performance slot at The Long Road next year, A one-year CMA Membership*, a slot at the Snakefarm Label Showcase, and A PR consultation with WMA.

Beyond the music, The Long Road offers the chance for audiences to step off the beaten track and truly immerse themselves in the country lifestyle. Brand new activities have been added for festival-goers to enjoy, including beginner, advance and family Line Dancing, even more late night afterparties (feat. Yee Haw & Country Club), open mic opportunities and a late night hootenanny for revellers who don’t want the night to end. 

These new attractions join an array of existing festival entertainment, including the authentic Stateside food traders, craft beers, food competitions, the Lucky Dice Car & Bike show, vintage funfair rides, country bingo, cowboy olympics, country crafting, barn dances, and the ever popular ‘country-oke’ - providing the ultimate destination for those who want to live and breathe the Nashville spirit.

For all things culinary, Red Dog Saloon will be bringing their Austin-style BBQ restaurant on-site, smokers and all, to deliver a unique festival experience, serving sharing platters piled high with signature smoked meats and all the fixings, alongside all-American brunches with a BBQ twist. The restaurant is available to pre-book for eager diners.
