October 3, 2025 - After conquering the world with their 28th studio album MAD!, the eternally-creative Sparks - Ron and Russell Mael - today release the first EP of their illustrious career. This release follows the recent surprise single release - The Happy Dictator by Gorillaz featuring Sparks.

Four-track EP MADDER! is a companion to, and in the pioneering spirit of, Sparks’ record-breaking MAD! album, which was greeted with rave reviews, including five-star ratings from Record Collector (“…further proof of genius”) and the Daily Telegraph (“The gold standard for left field pop”), while AnOther Magazine called it “…another perfect offering” and SPIN declared it to be “another triumph for the Maels.”

MADDER! follows on the tail of their rapturously received world tour which ended this week at the Greek Theatre in their hometown of Los Angeles. Ron and Russell also recently made a surprise appearance with Gorillaz at the Copper Box Arena in London for the performance of The Mountain, the upcoming album which is due for release in March and features the collaboration with Sparks ‘The Happy Dictator’.

Sparks’ recent world tour, with the usual eclectic selection of the Mael brothers’ work, set against a stunning production, was also an unqualified success, with Louder Than War describing the show as “a hundred minutes of energetic, thrilling pop songs spanning half a century” and Classic Rock Magazine writing “Wit, pathos and brutality….a hugely thrilling injection of joy and power”. The band have announced one final show of the tour – at Clockenflap Festival in December - their first performance in Hong Kong.
