FEBRUARY 27, 2026 | NEW YORK, NY - New York-based alternative/indie artist Mechanical Woman returns with her latest single “Curbside Diamonds,” out on all digital music platforms NOW. The track marks the second release from her forthcoming debut album, Voice of an Old Soul, arriving March 27, 2026. Raw yet luminous, “Curbside Diamonds” continues to shape the sonic energy of the project, offering another glimpse into Mechanical Woman’s depth, demeanor, and complete artistry. About “Curbside Diamonds,” she says:

“I was at a low point in life and came across a diamond watch, broken into pieces, on my way out of an event celebrating a high point in my dad’s life. When I got home, I wrote it all in one sitting - never changed a thing. The idea of this sparkle appearing at such a low point… it just needed to be put back together. I turned it into something beautiful - the watch and the song. My life picked up from there. I found myself wondering, ‘Who left that behind?’ ‘Was it meant for me to find?’ It certainly felt like it”.

Mechanical Woman is a New York–based musician, producer, and storyteller whose work explores the connection between intuition, identity, and complex musicality. Raised in Chicago, she took a path far different than the rest of her family. Adopted at birth, she found there was a natural calling for personal discovery and the understanding of her differences. The question of what sets her apart and how to harness that individuality found its answer in music and visual arts. The arts became a constant thread in her life that would eventually shape how she interprets and translates the world through her music.

Her stage name reflects the balance between resilience and expression. “Mechanical” speaks to the act of building, from the recording booth she constructed out of salvaged wood to the systems she created to carry herself through personal change. “Woman” grounds the project in identity and fluidity, capturing the emotional core of her work.

Her upcoming debut album “Voice of an Old Soul” brings this artistic vision into focus with what she describes as a "blue" sonic palette - layered, shifting soundscapes anchored by intricate guitar work, while refusing to be confined to a single genre or approach.

“Curbside Diamonds” is out NOW.
