Man/Woman/Chainsaw today share news of their debut album, "Cannonball", coming August 7th on Fiction Records, home to The Cure, St. Vincent, The Horrors and Billie Marten amongst others.

The album will be available on eco-mix black vinyl, a limited edition berry coloured LP with signed insert and a Rough Trade exclusive blue & clear splatter edition LP paired with a bonus 7" available nowhere else.

They also share a new single, the pulsing, synth-led "Nosedive", another statement track that shows quite how significantly the ambition within the band has grown in the time between their debut EP and this upcoming debut album. Nearing six minutes long and with as much in common with LCD Soundsystem as it has the art-punk scene that birthed them, it was recorded at RAK Studios with Geordie Greep producer Seth Evans & Margo Broom, who also worked with the band on their BBC 6 Music playlisted singles "Adam & Steve" and the album opener "Only Girl".

Emmie-Mae, lead vocalist on "Nosedive" and one of three members to share lead vocal roles on the album, had the following to say about the new track:

“It's is a song about longing for both comfort and freedom simultaneously in a relationship through the metaphor of being an injured bird needing shelter. We turned it into a danceable upbeat track, which made the tone shift throughout the song as though you find a way to pick yourself up and fly away.”
