TURNSPIT SHARE NEW SINGLE “HAVE A HEART

London Headline Show: The Windmill, January 17th

6 Music's Emily Pilbeam’s ‘Hot for 2026’.

Leeds duo TURNSPIT return with their new single “HAVE A HEART”, out January 14th, continuing the quiet rise that has marked them out as one of the most intriguing new acts to have emerged from the UK underground in the last few months. Building on the momentum of their debut single ‘SURRENDER’ and its follow-up ‘CINDERELLA GIRL’, the pair have steadily grown their reputation.

‘SURRENDER’’ was first picked up by Deb Grant & Nathan Shephard, before earning plays from Emily Pilbeam, Huw Stephens, Steve Lamacq, Chris Hawkins, and John Kennedy. Follow-up ‘CINDERELLA GIRL’ caught the attention of The Line of Best Fit, who made TURNSPIT their playlist cover stars whilst also receiving strong support from Radio X and 6 Music - they were included on BBC 6 Music Intro Mixtape and Emily Pilbeam’s ‘Hot for 2026’.

Drawing influence from an eclectic array of sources, from surreal film, to the experimental edge of the BBC Radiophonic Workshop and Sonic Mook compilations, TURNSPIT have carved out a sound both cinematic and unpredictable. Performances alongside Adult DVD, Honesty, Night Tapes and a slot on Soho’s Electronic Music Festival last year, have cemented their place within the scene, where their shows flow seamlessly between moments of intimate electronica and high-energy club intensity.

New single “HAVE A HEART” is an emotive, break-led immersive soundscape, trance-infused synths, fleshy pads, and an intimate, close-mic’d vocal that sits right on the edge of pop. As the duo put it, “it’s about unfinished business.” Entirely self-produced, the duo’s disciplined writing process keeps them in constant creative motion. They play their first London headline at The Windmill January 17th, grab tickets HERE.
