Debut LP ‘The Burden Of Empathy’ released 24th April

King No-One released their latest track ‘Blake’, the third track to be taken from the band’s forthcoming debut LP ‘The Burden Of Empathy’, set for release on 24th April.

Speaking ahead of the release of ‘Blake’ frontman and songwriter Zach says -

“‘Blake’ begins by talking about the hopelessness that many are feeling in society. They see feckless politicians, financial hardship, kids in poverty and how we're all turning on each other at the behest of the elite. The chorus is a feel-good juxtaposition, evoking the beauty in life that we have forsaken, and the freedom that we all are owed at the very least. As the song develops, it poses the question of how we can better ourselves, referencing the theme of the album, namely empathy’

The band played a sold-out hometown show at The Brudenell in Leeds at the end of 2025, showcasing their new tracks live for the first time. This came after the recent track ‘Turkey Dinosaurs’ was supported by Steve Lamacq and Chris Hawkins at BBC 6 Music.

King No-One have made a name for themselves over the past few years, steadily building a fervent fanbase with millions of streams, as their brand of indie-rock has evolved to include elements of left field pop to create something distinctive. With the alt-pop of ‘Transgressions’, the expansive rock of Turkey Dinosaurs and now ‘Blake’, King No-One are showing the different sides of the band.

King No-One are -

Zach Lount - vocals, guitars, piano

Joe Martin - guitars, BVs, keyboards

Rob Gration - bass, BVs
