Norfolk native Harry Jordan announces his debut solo EP This Beautiful Life for April 17th, trailed with the title-track today. An EP launch show will take place at Voodoo Daddy’s in Norwich on April 18th.
Citing influences numbering the likes of Wilco, Sparklehorse, Neil Young, Alex G, Justin Vernon, Big Thief, Chris Cohen, the resulting sound is an open-heated homage to the classic indie songbook. First coming to attention as co-frontman of cult indie band Eades - with whom he has received acclaim from The Guardian, NME, FADER, BBC 6 Music and more - Harry has since made strides as an in demand producer and engineer since founding his residential Bam Bam Studios with acts like The Big Moon, Keo, Sam Tompkins, Brown Horse, Our Girl, Bleech 9:3, Opal Mag and more passing through its doors.
The lean approach to songwriting - and the thoughtfulness in restraint across both composition and production - stands in sync with the emotional earnestness at the core of the lyrical themes. Personal and sorrowful in nature, Harry finds a way of bringing light into the most tragic of circumstances.
As he explains on new single ‘This Beautiful Life’: “I started writing the track a few years back after thinking about a friend of mine who took his own life, reflecting on how he managed to get himself into a place where he felt there was no escape. Since then I have had two other friends take their own lives - including someone who was like an older brother figure to me. I revisited the song not long after his passing with a very fresh and raw perspective that gave the song a much deeper meaning to me. I often wish he could have seen the world and everything he had to live for differently. He was always a fan of music in its rawest form, often talking about songs that stripped away the “fireworks”, which is why I limited pretty much all the parts to a single take to capture that innocence and excitement of the first time you play something. He inspired a lot of my writing back then and even more now since I’ve had time to reflect on our relationship and the manner of his passing. I’m sure this won’t be the last iteration of this track. It opened up a door of creativity for me using writing as a form of catharsis and healing.”
Whilst daunting, Harry has also found a new lease of life in stepping out as a solo artist: “After playing in bands since the age of 12 it finally felt like the right time to start releasing solo music after opening Bam Bam Studios and having the freedom to stay up late recording music all day and night whenever. I’ve really loved being able to hide away and work on creating tracks exactly how I hear them in my head. I found the creative freedom very addictive.”

Harry Jordan is a singer-songwriter, record producer, session guitarist and mix engineer based in Norfolk, operating from his musical home, Bam Bam Studios. As the frontman of the bands Eades and King Cab, and a former live guitarist for Far Caspian, Harry has embarked on a new journey by releasing his first material as a solo artist. He handles all creative aspects of his solo project, from writing and producing to performing, engineering, and mixing, with the exception of playing the drums, which were performed by his longtime friend and collaborator, Josh Ketch.
Drawing from a vast pool of inspirations, Harry set out to build a solo project based on complete creative freedom without compromise. Combining his love of production and songwriting with a desire to take the guitar and his vocal arrangements into new and uncharted waters. Citing influence from the likes of Wilco, Sparklehorse, Sonic Youth, Steve Albini, The Band, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Alex G, Justin Vernon, Big Thief, Chris Cohen and more…
Having spent a decade in Leeds dedicating his life to music, performing in various bands and producing / engineering a long list of records, Harry recently relocated to Norfolk to fulfil his dream of opening a residential recording studio where he has since worked with acts like The Big Moon, Keo, Sam Tompkins, Brown Horse, Our Girl, Daisy Brain, The Big Sleep, Eades, Far Caspian and many more.
17th April marks the release of Harry’s debut EP ‘This Beautiful Life’. A collection of six songs reflecting on his time living in Leeds and his experiences along the way. The EP is a raw snap shot of what’s to come, recorded DIY in his old basement and finalised in his new studio a year later.
With a deep appreciation for both vintage and modern recording equipment, Harry has amassed an impressive collection that fuels his creativity. His keen ear for tones and commitment to authenticity are evident in his work, as he continually studies and researches the production techniques of his favourite records to inspire his own creative process.
Harry’s career has been marked by numerous critically acclaimed releases, earning accolades such as a NME100 Award, So Young Magazine’s ‘Tracks Of The Year’ in 2023, The Guardian’s Track Of The Week, and a Number 1 song on Hype Machine. Not to mention radio support from the likes of BBC Radio 6, BBC Radio 1, Radio X, NME Radio, KXRW and KEXP.
With a large amount of time spent touring the UK and Europe with Eades and Far Caspian, Harry has also been fortunate enough to share stages and line ups with the likes of Wolf Alice, Wunderhorse, Ride, Teenage Fan Club, Sprints, Twin Peaks, Amyl And The Sniffers, Pond, Maximo Park, Porridge Radio, Black Country New Road, The Black Lips and more, selling out venues and making plenty of memories along the way.

Having recently put together a live band made up of some of his favourite artists and sessions musicians, Harry plans to take his music on the road in 2026
