Black Country singer-songwriter Fitzroy Holt releases "S.I.G.H (Sometimes I Get High)", out 13th February 2026 via Gary Powell's (The Libertines) 25 Hour Convenience Store label. The track cuts closer to the bone than anything Holt has released to date—an unflinching exploration of self-medication, anxiety, and the conflict of knowing something isn't ideal yet relying on it all the same.
"S.I.G.H is one of the most raw and honest tracks on the record," Holt explains. "It explores my relationship with the act of self-medicating, which is something I've done since I was young. The song reflects the conflict of knowing it's not ideal, yet relying on it to manage anxiety. Much of it is written from the voice in my head that seeks escape. At its core, S.I.G.H is about being real and saying something out loud without judgement."
The song explores this long and complicated relationship without glamour or apology—delivered with the same restless authenticity that has defined Holt's work since his debut title track "Around The Wrekin" announced him as one of British alternative rock's most compelling emerging voices.
The Sound
Produced by Mark Gittins and composed by Holt, "S.I.G.H" draws from the same well of bluesy, scuzzy rock that fuels acts like The Black Keys, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, The Kills, and Rival Sons—folk storytelling colliding with grit, noise, and melody. Tender one moment and explosive the next, the track carries the scars of lived experience with the unpredictable energy that has become Holt's trademark.
An Artist on the Rise
"S.I.G.H" is Holt's second release with 25 Hour Convenience Store, following the explosive title track "Around The Wrekin" (October 2025) which launched his debut album campaign and earned recognition from BBC Introducing Radio alongside features in Hunger Magazine and Clash Magazine.
Raised in Dudley in the heart of the Black Country, Holt grew up surrounded by folklore, industry, and outsider spirit—a backdrop that runs through every note of his music. Years of playing any room that would have him shaped him into a performer whose shows balance hushed confessions with storms of noise. He has shared stages with Jake Bugg, The K's, Madison McFerrin, and Pete Doherty, and joined The Libertines for UK and European tour dates.

With further singles to follow in the build-up to the full album release, each will showcase a different facet of Holt's sound—from stripped-back folk to full-throttle chaos, always finding the harmony between extremes.
What's Next
Following the album release, Holt will tour in May 2026 with festival appearances planned across the summer, taking 'Around The Wrekin' nationwide with the same volatility that has already earned him a loyal following.
