LONDON – British electronic legends Dub Pistols & Freestylers release "Like We" featuring the one and only General Levy, out now via Cyclone Records. The latest single from their debut collaboration album 'Enter The Sound' (6th March 2026) is a future breaks UKG dancefloor banger—rolling breaks with a classic hip-hop feel, guitars and stabs, blended with UK garage-style basslines, and the unmistakably distinctive voice of General Levy in a style you've never quite heard from him before.

The General Has Entered The Building

Paul Scott Levy—better known as General Levy—is one of the most distinctive voices in UK ragga and jungle, best known for "Incredible" with M-Beat, whose remixed version reached number eight on the UK singles chart in 1994. A legend of the scene, his collaboration with Dub Pistols & Freestylers on "Like We" marks a bold stylistic departure—placing his unmistakable delivery over a UK rap/ragga hybrid that reaches back to the fertile late-90s sounds of labels like Music Of Life.

"Always wanted to work with General Levy but on a style you've never really heard from him," says Aston Harvey (Freestylers). "A great throwback to a UK Rap/Ragga hybrid reminiscent of the late 90s, influenced by the label 'Music Of Life'."

A Friendship Three Decades in the Making

The collaboration is rooted in genuine long-standing connections. Aston first met General Levy whilst producing tracks for Rebel MC in the 90s, whilst Barry Ashworth (Dub Pistols) and the General have crossed paths at shows and festivals over the years. Most memorably, General Levy performed at the Dub Pistols' own Mucky Weekender festival—and liked it so much that after his set he stayed on, ended up flipping burgers and dropping bars, much to the delight of the crowd.

From 'Enter The Sound'

"Like We" is the latest chapter in the remarkable sonic journey of 'Enter The Sound'—the debut full-length collaboration between Dub Pistols and Freestylers, born from a friendship forged in the explosive big beat era of the mid-1990s. The album spans reggae, ska, hip-hop, trip-hop, breaks, and jungle, featuring an impressive roster of collaborators including Jonny Osbourne, Tippa Irie, General Levy, Too Many T's, Horseman, Belle Humble, Scarlett Quinn, Tennor Fly, MC Spyda, Seanie T., JA13, and legendary ska inventor Derrick Morgan.

Previous singles include "Ska Train" (feat. JA13 and Derrick Morgan, supported by David Rodigan on BBC Radio 1Xtra and Steve Lamacq on BBC Radio 6 Music), "Back On The Circuit" (feat. Harry Shotta), "Hold Up Your Hands" (feat. Jonny Osbourne), and "Give You Love" (feat. Belle Humble)—whose last collaboration with the Freestylers, "Cracks," has amassed 150+ million streams.

About The Artists

Freestylers – Aston Harvey and Matt Cantor – have remained at the forefront of electronic dance music for nearly three decades, with UK Top 20 hits "B-Boy Stance" and "Ruffneck," "Push Up" reaching Number 1 in Australia, Holland and Belgium, and "Cracks" becoming a dubstep classic with 150+ million streams. Their legendary Glastonbury 1999 performance and collaborations with Pendulum cement their status as electronic music innovators.

Dub Pistols, led by Barry Ashworth, have delivered ten albums from the big beat explosion to their current position as festival favourites, collaborating with Terry Hall of The Specials, Busta Rhymes, and more. Their annual Mucky Weekender festival is a cornerstone of the UK electronic scene, and their previous album 'Frontline' reached Number 1 on the Official UK Indie Chart.

Both acts embark on an extensive UK tour throughout March-May 2026, bringing 'Enter The Sound' to stages across the country.
