Hartlepool newcomers Champ announce debut ‘Born In The Wild End’, set for release November 28th, and share its title-track, out today (October 29th).

Specialising in big-hearted, guitar-driven anthems for dreamers in small towns, Champ have already made quite the impression following the release of lead singles ‘Taste To Run’ and ‘Future’, with praise arriving from the likes of NME, DIY, Dork and Clash, as well as initial plays on the BBC Radio 1 (Jess Iszatt) airwaves. Currently in the midst of a busy autumn, with live shows to come in Manchester, Stockton and a hometown headliner, the band’s live reputation continues to grow with rave reviews circulating throughout the press landscape. 

Bringing songs of mates, mistakes, late nights, growing up and the characters that defined them, the group (FFO The War On Drugs, Tame Impala, Wunderhorse) are primed for their debut EP release in late November, as they become an ever-growing presence on the emerging indie circuit.

Detailing their third single release, frontman Jonny Bee stated: “‘Born In The Wild End’ was the first track we wrote as Champ and it’s the title track of our debut EP. This tune encompasses who we are as a band, both sonically and lyrically. It’s a song about expectation, existentialism, friendship, and our complicated relationship with our hometown."
