WELLY Headline The Scala for BIG IN THE SUBURBS Tour

Triumphant energetic finish to the UK Dates

Artist: Vincent's Last Summer - Punchbag - Welly

Venue: The Scala

Town: King's Cross London

Date: 15.10.25

Welly were stoked to be on The Scala Stage as mainman Elliot Hall himself confessed, they were not used to being in front of larger crowds. Last night provided the final UK date touring the debut album Big In The Suburbs.

Supporting Welly for the evening were Manchester's Vincent's Last Summer and the punky Pop of the Duo called Punchbag.. Both were great at warming the crowd and were by no means overshadowed, certainly adding to the evening.

Both support artists had bags of energy though Welly came to the stage with what seemed an energy overload or too many Dextro's? Bassplayer Jacob Whitear was always jumping or invading the crowd on a mission to burn as many calories in an hour as possible.

First number "Big in the Suburbs" launched into the stratosphere and they didn't really come down again only for Elliot's brief crowd interactions which mostly involved a surreal reference or two.

A chunk of the songs came from the debut LP Big In The Suburbs now paying dividends as the mosh pit that ensued was a sign of appreciation from their growing fanbase.

Welly now get to stand down till the end of this month when they have a trip across to Amsterdam. Let's hope while there they can pick up on some ideas for new songs, hopefully another kitchen sink Kinks style classic possibly involving some Gouda?
