As the Tour title suggests, Pale Waves are touring their year old album under the moniker "Still Smitten", yes I think you get the idea? Though Smitten has been on the shelves for over a year the band feel they hadn't had a real chance to tour the album. So here we were in the industrial vibe of The Engine Rooms, Southampton, where Pale Waves did their Gothic best to dress up the stage with hanging chandeliers and mood lighting to add a little Tim Burton chic.

For Heather Baron-Gracie everyday is Halloween and I am sure this is the time of year that brings most Joy / Gloom as both are equal in the Gothic world that the lead singer indulges her style and world view. It makes for a different atmosphere. Along with The Cure and The Cranberries as major influences the fanbase are also agreeable to "The Goth" look some very subtly and others fully immersed!

Only 4 songs were aired from Smitten with "Perfume" being the opening number amd the best came at the end in "Glasgow" before the encore, this is also Heather Baron-Gracie's favourite from the album.

The band sounded well rehearsed and cruised through a version of "Zombie" by The Cranberries, while many a phone were quickly raised to immortalise the moment forever digitally. Other highlights were "Red", "She's my Religion" and "Jealousy", Pale Waves could be satisfied having for one night brought a little Vampyre Darkness to this part of Southampton.
