Gia Ford Plays the Prince Albert

Debut Headline Tour starts in Brighton

Artist - Gia Ford

Venue - The Prince Albert

Town -  Brighton UK

Date - 11th November 2024

Gia Ford proudly exclaimed this to be her first headline tour so their would have been an excuse for some nervousness on what was the first date of that tour. From the first number Ford and her exceptional band were note perfect, on stage the demeanour was a mix of Bowie chic and Stephen king imagination, making for a dark plus positive 15 or so tunes in the setlist.

With several previous support slots including Marika Hackman leading up to the debut album "Transparent Things", this is the chance to get over Ford's unique perspective with many a dark tale of betrayal and murderous plots. She has respect of life and death in equal measures with mutual respect shown to both as Ford says what is there to be scared of in when our time comes?

In Brighton the band excelled and reproduced the album superbly. Highlights I felt were "Poolside", "Earth Return" and "Housewives dream of America". The music crosses boundaries towards movie scripts that direct with visions of films that

appear before your eyes, such is the prowess of Ford's lyrical content.
